Suva Skyline

Take away the pool and view the mountains in the background.  A view my Father would know as he was born here and stayed until he was 17.

Denarau, Fiji

Fiji Bitter and 3 tasters, nice way to start our Fiji sojourn.  10 April arrived Denarau, departed 12th for Suva and stayed until the 17th.  Back to Nadi by rental car and another two days at the Sofitel. No luck in Suva trying to locate Dad's birth certificate even though 21 November 1916 was his birth date. Records were not in sequential order which meant searching ALL the records.  Too time consuming, but still spent over 3 hours looking.

Wow We Did It!!

Child Flight Charitable Trust got its 100th special passenger in the Arrow today and also achieved its 50th flight.  The photo below shows the Piper Arrow over the Te Uku Windfarm just East of Raglan.  The celebrated passenger was on board.  The picture was taken from the Cirrus SR20 which was flying in formation.

Brothers & Sisters

Carolyn, Chris, Peggy & Pete at the Auckland grave which commemorates Nana Olding, Mom & Dad.  This photo was taken approximately 8/9 years ago.  We were there with Mom's urn and each one of us spread some ashes into a heart shaped hole in front of the headstone which had been refurbished.  I spread the rest of Mom's ashes in two other places, 2nd Ave in Tauranga where Nana & Grandpa lived and on the 11th tee on Waitangi Golf Course where Mom used to play.

Recovered Photo

Found on Bub's Facebook page which still exists.  Her first attempt, she says, at Photoshop.  She went on to say "I think I may have to go back to the manual and read it properly"!!

Sky TV

This photo was posted by Liam's mother onto Child Flight's Facebook page.  I understand that Sky TV played an interview with Jesse Ryder with action clips of the aircraft and brief description of what the Trust was all about.  This clip was played just before the one day game in Hamilton last Wednesday.  Pity the Black Caps performed so badly!!!

New Blog

First entry in the new Blog entitled JORDO.  I have decided to abandon flyme-jordo as it is not as private as I would like.  The site will remain public but because it is new less people are involved.  I am getting a pdf version of flyme-jordo which I will send to family.  It dates back to 2008.
